FAQ's

So, what's this site about?
subtitleit & conletritas are my two sites dedicated to offer free translations (English to Spanish & Spanish to English) in the form of subtitles, to online videos.
How does it work?
Instructions here
Is it really free?
Yes, it’s 100% free. There's no charge for a translation on this site.
Why would you bother doing it? What’s the point then?

I truly enjoy doing it and I see it as a way to get better at it. My satisfaction also comes from helping others. In exchange, i might be putting ads on the site, for financial support. Voluntary donations are always accepted and greatly appreciated.
How do i know the translation is accurate?
Probably the most important question. I gotta admit I am a perfectionist and I can guarantee you it'll be done as accurate as possible.
Is it Spain Spanish? Mexico Spanish? Argentina? Which one?
Of course, I am aware that every Latin American country has it’s way of speaking, accent and so on. I try to apply a neutral Spanish translation.
Who are you?
Just a 24 yo guy. I love cultures, travel.. . the world as a whole fascinates me.
I have a degree in advertising & public relations with a minor in International Communication.
Born and raised in Sonora Mexico until the end of high school. After graduating, I studied abroad in central United States with a host family, to practice English ( I pretty much did my senior year of H.S. again, this time in the U.S)
Received a scholarship to study university in Arizona, where I got my degree.
I then studied a semester abroad (or as I’d call it: abroad abroad) in the Netherlands, where I received my minor.
Don't you have a life? job?
I am in a "philosophical" stage of my life; revising my goals, dreams and so. I want to create something for myself that I'd enjoy doing and at the same time, something that will be of benefit to others. I have a part-time job, so I have some "free" time for things like this.
Do you know any other languages?
I took a semester of French but wasn’t really into it. I took Italian for a year and fell in love with. I am now determined to become fluent in Italian, and will spend some time in Italy in the not-so-distant future.
